Onfido is recruiting in France to fight identity fraud

The provider of identity verification services Onfido is looking for thirty employees for its Paris office in order to strengthen its position in Europe. With this in mind, the company of British origin plans to integrate experienced profiles into its teams.

Specialized in identity verification solutions, Onfido announces the opening of 30 vacancies in France for the end of 2021. The British company thus intends to increase its presence with its French customers by multiplying its workforce by 6 between 2020 and 2021 in the country, thus increasing from 10 to 60 employees. In order to support the supplier’s development in this market, job offers target experienced profiles and address all of the group’s departments and activities. The vast majority are product managers and lead engineers specializing in fraud detection and identity verification. Also concerned are DevOps, senior back-end and front-end developers, easy recognition experts, software, quality and test engineers. Present on the French market since 2014, Onfido opened its Paris offices in 2019. Under the leadership of Gimena Diaz, the team based in France is now made up of 32 people across the country. With this recruitment campaign, the company also wants to give itself the means to strengthen itself in Europe “While the demand for reliable and secure identity verification solutions continues to grow, our recruitments aim to strengthen our teams on the national territory. , but also to intensify our operations on the European continent ”, explained in a press release, Gimena Diaz, vice-president for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa at Onfido. To do this, the company intends to take advantage of the flexibility of remote work to optimize support for its European customers and partners.

Over $ 200 million in funding

From the banking sector to fintech, including car rental or online marketplaces, fraud is a growing concern for French companies, which are increasingly turning to online transactions every day. McKinsey forecasts a 9 to 15% growth in the digital identity verification market, or between 1.6 and 2.1 billion euros in Europe by 2022. In order to limit the threats linked to theft of data identity, the supplier offers artificial intelligence solutions that authenticate identity documents before analyzing them using facial recognition.

4 million euros have been invested in this direction by the company over the last twelve months. Founded in 2012 in London, the group boasts 1,500 customers around the world, including Nickel (BNP Paribas group), Europcar Mobility Group and Getaround (formerly Drivy). It is also supported by TPG Growth, Salesforce Ventures, M12 (Microsoft), Idinvest Partners and other investors from whom more than $ 200 million has been raised.
